Has It Been Since May?

Yesterday, Blue Skies

Yikes! This shot was taken yesterday and I didn't touch that blue sky up at all. And, even more interesting, it's New Jersey!

I apologize that it's been since May between posts here. I've been concentrating on the television blogging hoping for professional and freelance work in the field. A few things have worked out with that - folks at Turner Broadcasting are sending me press kits (which are way cool), I've become the TV Section Editor for Blogcritics.org, earned some actual money over the summer with my TV blog, and have extended my reach in the field. I also have something in the works for a few months down the road, but I can't go into that right now. It's not set in stone and I don't want to jinx it.

In other news, my knee is growing increasingly worse. I haven't been able to go photo stomping as I used to do and settle for just getting back and forth between work and home. I'm putting off a knee replacement as it would involve a longer hospital (or rehab hospital) than I can be away from home. With the other surgeries, I led them to believe that I had someone here to help. With this one, it will be tougher. I'm not so worried about myself. If I can get around on crutches in the apartment, I'm fine. It's not a huge place and there are no stairs. But, still, they're talking a few weeks minimum in a hospital. My two cats are too old to be boarded - they'd freak out. And, the only friend around here I'd trust with a key recently moved to California.

Oh, well. I'll keep putting it off.

How are you?

Jackie, good to see you are still around. I just found this site from the CL message boards.
Soundsl like you are doing what you always enjoyed with the various TV shows.
Wish you luck with the new position (?).
Sorry to hear that the pesty knees are still a bother to you. Wish was closer to NJ and could give you a hand with the cats and/or cook a meal for you.

Are you anywhere near the New Brunswick/Old Bridge area? My daughter found a very good cat sitter (comes into your home to feed and play with them). If you might be interested, leave a comment on any post on my blog (http://silkendrum.blogspot.com/)

I'm glad that you posted. I was thinking about removing your link from my blogroll, but I decided to come and take one more look, and you posted. If I knew that all it took for you to post is to say to myself, "I guess I should remove her link", then I should have said that earlier. LOL

I was kind of down an out myself. I won't know how I am doing until tomorrow.

Congrats, I hope you get a job that you love to do. Curious do you watch LOST?

Jackie -- I just got my fiancee through a full knee replacement and have had several friends do it -- one female friend had BOTH done at once, is over 22o lbs and is about 56 years old.... all were in the hospital 3 days max, surgery included. I will write more about this to you in case it could be of help.

Sydney - Some of the folks I know online I know because we were a part of AOL's Community Leader Program - now defunct. We have some CL Alumni message boards to keep in touch.
